This is our plain cap toe boot pattern called the Richmond. Our Richmond models as of May 2025 will be built with a double upper leather cap toe design. One may perhaps think of this as an Allen pattern with an added extra layer of upper leather over the toebox for the cap toe, as opposed to simply joining the vamp leather to a single piece of cap toe leather.
 
This Richmond model is made with Waxy Commander leather from the famous Charles F. Stead tannery in the Caper colorway. This colorway has a mixture of green, brown and tan. Waxy Commander is part of the tannery\'s water-poof line of leathers and is perhaps the easiest leather to take care of long term. Since the article is heavily waxed, any boot wax or leather balm can be used to condition this leather over time.
